Shirley "Shirl"Darleen Doshier, 64, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Ark. She was born Nov. 16, 1943. Arrangements are pending with Epting Funeral Home of Bentonville.
Rogers
Geraldine S. Wood , 90, of Rogers, Ark., died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, in Bentonville, Ark. She was born Dec. 5, 1917, in Moline, Kan., to Ben Vick and Zelma Fessenden Vick.
She was a medical office assistant and was a member of the Oakley Chapel United Methodist Church in Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Wood, in 1999.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Pinkley and Paul Pinkley of Rogers; and three grandchildren, Anne Pinkley of Fayetteville, Ark., Cecilie Pinkley of Springdale, Ark., and Wes Pinkley of Portland, Ore.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at the Oakley Chapel Cemetery in Rogers.
Memorials may be made to the Rogers Humane Society, 2935 W. Oak St., Rogers, AR 72758; or to the Oakley Chapel United Methodist Church, 203 W. Promenade Blvd., Rogers, AR 72758.
Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers. voy, Ark., died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at a local health care facility. She was born Aug. 26, 1915, in Tuttle, Okla., to Clifford Southard and Sarah Wood Southard.
She was a longtime member of Howe-Savoy Community Church. She moved to northwest Arkansas in 1940 from Oklahoma. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, reading and watching birds.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ewell Cowan in 1994; a son, Kendall
Savoy
Nevada Cowan, 93, of SaBlack; a daughter, Sharon Ward; two brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include a sister, Deenie Potter of Brazil, Ind.; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Black of Rogers, Ark.; three grandchildren, Kendall Black of Germantown, Tenn., Dr. Randall Black of Rogers, and Lendell Black of Fayetteville, Ark.; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at the Farmington Cemetery in Farmington, Ark., with the Rev. Tommy Hinson.
