Wiener Takes All races on Saturday

The rain that swept into the area this past Saturday morning prompted organizers to postpone the second annual Wiener Takes All races.
The event has been moved to this Saturday. This fundraiser for the Bella Vista Animal Shelter will take place at the Loch Lomond softball fields off Glasgow Road.
Dachshunds, also known as wiener dogs, will begin the first of 12 heats starting at 11 a.m. The top dogs from the preliminary races will face off in a championship race at 2: 30 p.m.
Admission for spectators is free.
A variety of other activities will occur throughout the day, including an all-breeds talent contest and a costume contest. Lunch will be available for purchase.
