Not fond of Frank Rich

I did not appreciate the almost full-page story in the opinion pages of Sunday's paper. "McCain's suspension bridge to nowhere "was very biased. Frank Rich, who writes for The New York Times, was very opinionated one way. That is not my way, and I wish you would not have him in your paper.

McCain / Palin: More of the same

Why is it that every time I hear Sarah Palin speak, I have a hard time controlling my gag reflex ? I am starting to believe that Republicans, who are still supporting this pathetic ticket, are unwitting victims of political Stockholm Syndrome. They have become loyal to the people holding their intelligence hostage. They can't see the national joke that the choice of Palin has become. What did I expect from the same party that picked Gonzalez, Meirs," heck-of-a-job"Brownie and Bernie Kerrick; they seem to love incompetence.

Scary as it seems, it really looks like McCain / Palin would be more of the same. Palin has already been caught in multiple lies and has flipflopped on her pledge to cooperate with the Troopergate investigation in Alaska. Just like the Bush administration, Palin is not cooperating with a legitimate investigation and is telling her people to ignore court subpoenas. She has even used the Bush playbook to appoint her high school cronies to different positions in her administration. She sure sounds like a Bush Davidian. I do miss the days when Republicans were saying George Bush should be on Mount Rushmore, but as the Bush administration circles the bowl, the only thing we will have to deal with in the future is the stink it left behind.
